Ces plugins ne possèdent a-priori
pas de fonction particulièrement créative, mais ils peuvent
aider à mettre en place
et à régler un environnement de production ou de diffusion multiphonique. |
These plugins do not have a priori a great creative
function, but they can help to set up and adjust a multichannel system. |

Some spatial arrangements and spatialization techniques like ambisonic coding can need that the loudspeakers are equidistant
to the center hearing position, the "sweet-spot". If it
is not the case, the IEM Distance Compensator is a must have free
plugin, which does the job perfectly and is easy to use. |

The
SpaceConverters are meant to convert a spatial format into
another one, or to adapt one to a specific loudspeaker arrangement. |
|
|||
|

This
Layer
Based converter has up to 64 inputs and outputs, but with
a maximum
limit of 25 inputs / speakers on up to four height layers. |

The
"3D" version of the Space Converter is based on the
usual 3D distance amplitude control, which works very well with networks speakers
arrangements following a 2D or 3D grid layout, but can be more complicated to set with vey
irregular or periphonic
only ones. |

Because
sometimes the visual spatial paradigm and its associated panning
algorythms is not the better way to translate a loudspeakers space
into another one. Each method impose some constraints and has some
limits. It is generally easy and reliable when the arrangement is
regular and symmetrical, but when the differences are too important,
even DPAP and KNN methods can fail to give an acceptable result. |

is based on the same principle as the ScaleLine 1864X in

speakers regardless of their spatial arrangement, as long as they
are organized in a series. |

About
half Acousmodules use a symbolic spatial representation of the speakers
(or the inputs) positions in order to make some operations easier to do, or to allow to
produce
certain special effects. In all cases this kind of visualization
is not meant to show the sound's space (which is something a lot more
complex and subtil and must rely on hearing rather than seeing)
but to configure the tools with efficiency. |
